Summer Dreaming: Tour Shakira’s Miami Beach Estate for Sale

Shakira, famous for her songs “Hips Don’t Lie” and “Chantaje,” is selling her six-bedroom Miami Beach home for $11.648 million. Touches of her Middle Eastern heritage, like a hookah lounge, add bohemian chic to the minimalist contemporary style of the home.

Originally built in 1951, it’s located on a half-acre estate on Miami Beach’s Biscayne Bay. The property hosts one hundred feet of access to the bay, a dock and a pool with a cabana. The street is a favorite for celebrities, with neighbors like Ricky Martin, Matt Damon and Jennifer Lopez.

The property is co-listed by Shakira’s brother, Antonio Mebarak, at Douglas Elliman. Here’s a look:

Greenery lines the entrance to the estate.

Square stones in a geometric pattern pave the driveway that leads to the garage and the front door.

Shakira chose to enhance the open floor plan by keeping colors cohesive. The whites repeat throughout the entire 8,700-square-foot home.

The symmetry of the driveway outside repeats throughout the house. The arrangement of the minimalist furnishings emulates balance. Floor pillows encourage lounging.

Double doors open to the outdoor pool area. Well-manicured hedges provide privacy and enhance the views.

Wood decking surrounds the heated pool and ends in a large cabana.

Shakira infused her Middle Eastern and Lebanese roots into the home with subtle textures, exotic patterns and a hookah lounge.

Pale grays and various shades of white add to the natural brightness of the open home.

The minimalist dining area with a long table sits at least 10 guests.

The large modern kitchen leads out to the garden. The layout offers various sitting areas.

From this view, it’s clear that Shakira and her family have many spots to sit and eat, including a dining table, breakfast bar and sofa for enjoying coffee and the view outside.

A floating shelf wall holds some Lebanese objects and books.

A wall mirror replicates and reflects the views from the windows in the master bedroom.

His and her sinks mirror each other in the master bathroom.

Hackers Help: How to remake cam lock holes?

I want to put a 78.5” wide PAX configuration in a 77” space for a kids room . My plan is to eliminate the drawer on the right unit, then cut the shelves and rails to be 1.5” narrower.
